We are a ministry dedicated to total Human recovery through the Ministration of God’s Word of Faith.

That’s how we’re able to make a difference. And it’s the driving force behind everything we do.

Our Story

The word Church comes from the Greek word Ecclesia which means to to call out from.
The Church is a body of people called out from the world to be in Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:2, Colossians 1:13-14).
The word Church can refer to the universal Church, the body of Christ, it can also refer to a local group of believers.(Colossians 4:15). Sovereign Word Church was incorporated under the Corporate Affairs Commission on December 1, 2006 as the Church arm, while the outreach arm was incorporated as the Day of Recovery Humanitarian Outreach, June 2, 2014.

Why we exist as a Church

We are helped of God in times of trials, so that we having been helped of God are able to minister to others who are going through what God has helped us from. It is not about coming to church every Sunday, looking for help but rather pointing others to the help that comes from God. We are saved to save others. We are healed to heal others. This is why we exist as a church.

Our Leadership

Our Directional Leadership Team works together to shape the vision and direction of Sovereign Word Church.
